If we had one solid piece of evidence that there actually were Blakers
at Shoreham pre-1400, then it would be worth following up the Sele
Priory lead: but we could just be chasing a will o'the wisp. How about
finding out on the net whether there is a public library at Shoreham,
Sussex, and if so emailing them to ask if they know of a local historian
that we could contact?

Squire
I have a connection to the right person in the museum of Cuckfield; but she
has been unable to advise of anything I might search; or any other person I
might ask. Both the pre 1400 entries for Blaker are of the Cuckfield area.
However, I have written Mde Pres of the Sussex Family History Group looking
for assistance; we shall see about that.
And I will write the Museum Andrea lady to see if anything fresh has arrived.
In her mind.
