‘Joe’ died peacefully at Dane House Care Home on 19 July 2007. He had
survived for some 17 months beyond his diagnosis of terminal cancer. His
death certificate records the cause of his death as ‘Carcinoma of the
                          Pancreas and Hypertension’.

Probate to his estate was granted in October 2007. My father’s body was
buried in Hove Cemetery, Old Shoreham Road, Hove, East Sussex. His local
parish priest, Father David Weston, wrote a glowing tribute to my father
in the Parish Newsletter for St. George’s Church:

‘Peg’ continued to live in Cobton Drive until mid 2010, when she moved to
full-time residential care at St. Joseph’s Care Home in Brighton, and then,
in 2012, to a Medical Nursing Home in Worthing, West Sussex, where she
                          now lives.
