It is not known where Caroline’s body was buried. Perhaps it was in an
unmarked grave plot in the churchyard of Holy Trinity, Cuckfield.

6.19.1 James Blaker (1805- )
Born: 1805, Crawley, Sussex
Christened: 22 December 1805, St. John the Baptist, Crawley, Sussex
Died: ?
James was the eldest son of William and Mary Blaker. In 1820, at the age
of 15 years, James was the subject of a Boarding Agreement under which
Peter Caffin acted as his guardian, and also acted as guardian for James’
sister, Hannah. It is assumed that these Boarding Agreements indicated
that William and Mary were unable to look after at least some of their
children, due to poverty.
After 1820, records of James’ life disappear. It is not known whether he
married, or when he died.
